Hey, everyone! Getting antsy waiting for our submission period to start?
We’re excited to announce that this year we’re opening rolling submissions for fiction, nonfiction, and poetry to be published monthly on our website.
Get those creative juices going and send us your best! At the end of the month, we will pick our favorite submissions to publish on our website. Here’s the catch: every month will be a new theme—but don’t worry! These themes can be interpreted semi-loosely. Think of it more as inspiration than full-on restriction.
November’s theme will be:
To celebrate yesterday’s local state elections and reflect on last year’s presidential election, we’re asking you to submit your fiction, poetry, or nonfiction in response! Maybe you have a bone to pick about the political situation, or maybe you’re dreading that annual uncomfortable conversation about politics with relatives at Thanksgiving dinner. Either way, get your pen to your paper (or your fingers to your keyboard) and get a-writin’. Deadline for November submissions will be November 27th.
If you’re feeling caught off guard but thinking ahead to next month—
December’s theme will be:
December is National Human Rights Month, and we want to hear your creative thoughts on that! We are very excited to see what you come up with. Deadline for December submissions will be December 27th.
Email your submissions to our Editor email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
